welcome to dogmersfield forge!

The forge itself was build in 2013 but the owner of the business, alex slater, had been working as a blacksmith and welder fabricator since 2009, mostly as a contractor to other blacksmiths and for a short period of time, running the crookham village forge.

When the forge itself was built, the budget was tight, so it was built almost entirely with seconds/leftovers from construction sites, after a few months (and a lot of help from friends and family) it was completed and ready to go!

Over the years, despite all the hardships many small businesses have faced, dogmersfield forge has grown and flourished, year on year we find ourselves busier and busier with a growing list of happy clients and new friends. whether its tradesmen looking for that extra bespoke touch to his work in hand made iron mongery, or the home owner looking for the added security and street appeal of driveway gates and railings, we have strived to provide the best.

We have a long list of fabrications and designs including but not limited to driveway gates, pedestrian gates, railings, handrails, balustrades, Juliet balconies, staircases, fire-escapes, platforms, ramps, rose arches / tunnels, gazebos and obelisks.

we also pride ourselves on wrought iron, hand forged and finished, decorative or practical, such as candle sticks, door / drawer handles, boot scrapers, fire pokers and fire poker sets, bbq tools such as skewers, tongs and forks, coat hooks, butchers hooks, camping cooking racks, fire pits and there accessories, sculptures and art work just to name a few.
